Patriotism was on full display on Saturday at the City of Denton’s Yankee Doodle Parade 2023. For almost ten years, The Church of Jesus Christ in Denton, Texas, has been an enthusiastic participant, joining other Denton churches and organizations to celebrate the birth of our nation.

“Every year, we like to participate in the Denton parade,” said Abraham David Benavides of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “We think it’s a great opportunity to share our patriotism and our love for this country, even if it’s just in a small way,”

“I think it went excellent,” Benavides summed up. “We had a great turnout. It’s about trying to bring pleasure to others. And seeing the people clap as we go by really brings joy to my heart. Everything turned out wonderful. So, I’m happy”
