June 11, 2021 — On a hot and humid Friday afternoon, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints flexed their collective muscle to benefit clients of Catholic Charities Fort Worth (CCFW).  Catholic Charities provides help to refugees, families affected by storms or disasters, and expectant mothers who need assistance with basic necessities.

A donation of household goods from At Home (Home Decor Superstore) was loaded up by missionaries in Plano and driven to the Catholic Charities Fort Worth donation center where Elders from the Fort Worth Texas Mission unloaded the shipment.

“We couldn’t have done this without the help of these missionaries,” said Allie Phillippi, Engagement Coordinator at CCFW.

Lamps, pillows, rugs, shelves, and various kitchen supplies were included in the donation. These will be used to help furnish apartments for clients of Catholic Charities being helped through hard times and to get back on their feet.
