5 Loaves Ministries Hosts Free Emotional Resilience Class
Sachse’s 5 Loaves Ministries will host an emotional resilience class, free to the community starting May 26. The six-week course will cover managing stress and anxiety, understanding sadness and depression, overcoming anger and addiction, and developing healthy relationships.
The faith-based course will be held at 4405 Williford Road in Sachse on Thursdays at 7pm from May 26 to June 30.
Bryan and Natalie Cooper of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sachse will facilitate the group discussions. 5 Loaves Ministries partners with many churches in the greater Sachse area, including the Church of Jesus Christ, to bolster its reach in serving the community.
“The emotional resilience class was incredibly insightful and allowed participants to share their feelings and experiences openly, said Bryan, a leader of the men’s group in the Church of Jesus Christ Sachse congregation.
“The collective vulnerability created a mutual understanding that we all deal with emotional times in our lives, and there are effective ways to deal with them. I’m grateful for the wisdom I learned from the whole group and continue to use the insights to this day!”
5 Loaves is a faith-based organization that provides food and support for all ages, to nourish both the body and the soul. “Together, we can make a difference,” they state on their website.
“We are thankful and excited to partner with 5 Loaves Food Pantry in offering this course to the community,” said Kelly Dehtloff, president of the women’s organization for the Church of Jesus Christ in Sachse.
“In its study, individuals are strengthened through gathering, learning, sharing, and discussing concepts and principles that help build emotional resilience. As we return to our families, workplaces, and communities, we are prepared to more effectively interact with, care for, and support others.”
