Lone Star Latter-day Saint Voices Welcomes New Host

Lone Star Latter-day Saint Voices, a podcast dedicated to conversations with North Texas members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, welcomes Erik Egan to the podcasting team.

Erik Egan

“Erik will be hosting podcasts, using his considerable broadcasting experience to bring new depth and wit to the show,” said Jani Nielsen, FWCC Assistant Director of Public Affairs. “We are very excited to have the polish and professionalism he will add.”

Erik Egan is the Director of Public Affairs for the Lewisville Texas Stake. His family has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for nearly 20 years, and he and his wife Julie have six children and two grandsons. Erik graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications and later earned an MBA at BYU’s Marriott School of Management.

Egan’s first Lone Star Latter-day Saint Voices interview is with Olympic hopeful runner Rena Elmer, a Yours-Mine-and-Ours mother of nine. Rena shares her remarkable story of grit and determination to achieve her lifelong dreams and goals in partnership with Heavenly Father.

“It’s not about me. It’s never been about me. This is a gift God’s given me. He’s given everybody special gifts and talents, and He gives us those, not to just help us be happy, but to use them to build up the Kingdom of God.”
