Mormon Helping Hands muck out the home of Ray and Mary Clayton in Vidor, Texas

From Facebook page of  Ray & Mary Clayton of Vidor, Texas:

“I was so disgusted yesterday.. had trouble resting .. the people who where assigned to help us this morning cancelled. They cancelled because they were helping an elderly couple who had no one.. I thanked them for trying to help us and thought to myself there is a reason.. I tried sleeping and was listening to a sermon when the time is right it will happen.. so I put everything in Gods hands and stopped trying to force it. Patience has never been one of my best qualities.. I slept most the day feeling discouraged I be lying if I said I was not.. but I kept telling myself there are so many more people worse off than we are.. Ray was fixing to leave for work and his phone rings. This man said they were from helping hands Church of morman and asked if they could come and help me? Of course I agreed and expected a date in the next three weeks.. I asked him when? They said they were in their way! How could you say no?! I graciously accepted them in my home.. I really wish I could have done what my grandad always told me that when he was on mission trips they would take him in and feed him.. regretfully I am not able and can not afford to pay.. but I did witness to them and told them it will never be forgotten the kindness they showed in an hour.. they were everywhere working and kids were having fun. It was very hot they were sweating .. clothes soaked with sweat! I talked to several of them and they said they just wanted to help in some way.. not only did they help me with my house they put a piece of doubt back also.. one of the men pulled off his bracelet that says God is big enough.. he said I wear this when I’m troubled I want you to have it! I will forever be grateful for them.”
