The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been building temples since the 1830s. Temples are considered houses of God, places of holiness and peace separate from the world’s preoccupations. They provide a place where Church members can make formal promises and commitments to God to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and live righteous lives. God promises to bless and strengthen those who stay true to these sacred promises. Learn more about the temples located in North Texas below.

It is awesome to see Brother Kuby hard at work! I had great days growing up in Dallas 9th. One Memorial Day Ward activity at Lake Tawakoni, I was involved in a jet ski accident, my left lower leg did not look good...as we were waiting for the ambulance to transport me to the nearest hospital, Brothers Kuby and Condiff gave me a Priesthood blessing. While in the ER, the attending doctor looked at my leg and said "that’s a fracture, let's get an x ray", and as he got the x ray films back he was shocked to see an intact, healthy bone. He looked at my leg, looked at the x ray film, and said, "I don't understand, I'm looking at a fractured leg but the x ray doesn’t show it, I guess you're going home in crutches and no cast". The following Sunday was testimony meeting and everyone who was there, bore testimony of the miracle that had happened. I know it was the faithfulness and worthiness of these men who brought to pass a might miracle in my life.

Crews at the Fort Worth Texas Temple are making excellent progress on attaching beautiful stone panels to the building's exterior walls. The meetinghouse next to the temple has been roofed, and the installation bracket for the steeple is in place. The building will have stucco walls with a wainscot of brick. Behind the meetinghouse is a low-profile maintenance and storage building.
