The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been building temples since the 1830s. Temples are considered houses of God, places of holiness and peace separate from the world’s preoccupations. They provide a place where Church members can make formal promises and commitments to God to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and live righteous lives. Allen, Texas area volunteers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had a busy Fall and Winter, with several volunteer and community events and activities. This Reel shows just a few of what's been going on in Allen recently-from their Youth 9/11 Day of service, Senior Citizen Luncheon, Sisters in Service Day, to the volunteer shifts at The Texas Giving Machine area in downtown McKinney.
