We were honored to witness the groundbreaking ceremony for Jericho Village in Wylie! This exciting project is an empowerment initiative of Agape Resource & Assistance Center and aims to provide vital support and resources for women and children in need. The services that Jericho Village will provide is an innovative approach aimed at empowering individuals through transitional housing, support services, sustainable income stream development, and resources to help them thrive in the greater community. The goal is to stabilize lives and guide residents toward becoming self-sustaining adults.

Wylie Mayor Porter shared his vision, stating, I hope we will have other Jericho Villages in other cities. It’s the Wylie Way! In celebration of this important initiative, he declared November 7th to be Jericho Village Day.

Additionally, we’re thrilled to announce that Agape Resource & Assistance Center will be a featured charity in the Light the World Texas Giving Machines coming to GrapeVine, Frisco and McKinney this Holiday Season! Together, we’re taking meaningful steps to uplift our community and help those in need. Let’s continue to work towards a brighter future! 🌟 #JerichoVillage #WylieWay #CommunitySupport #AgapeResourceCenter #TXGivingMachine #LightTheWorld #ChurchofJesusChristImage attachmentImage attachment+1Image attachment

Temples in North Texas

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been building temples since the 1830s. Temples are considered houses of God, places of holiness and peace separate from the world’s preoccupations. They provide a place where Church members can make formal promises and commitments to God to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and live righteous lives. God promises to bless and strengthen those who stay true to these sacred promises. Learn more about the temples located in North Texas below.
