Pajama project brightens lives of local children

A recent service partnership with JustServe and Pajama Rama as part of a women’s conference with 160 women from 10 congregations in the Alliance area, attendees assembled Pajama Rama Camp Comfort Kits that are used to make a difference in a child’s life.

Each kit includes new pajamas, a journal and fun activities. These kits will benefit the children receiving services from The WARM Place, providing comfort and joy during a challenging time. The Camp Comfort Kits are designed to bring smiles and enhance the camp experience for children grieving the loss of a loved one.

“I wanted to share a heartwarming story from The WARM Place’s Camp Remember Me, where supporters like you made a beautiful impact,” said Lori Feil, founder and CEO of Pajama Rama. “The WARM Place offers free grief counseling to children who have lost a loved one and we are honored to provide 62 kiddos with the gift of comfort.”

Feil said one young boy arrived wearing a Pokémon jacket, and when he opened his Camp Comfort Kit, he found Pokémon pajamas waiting for him. Out of 62 pairs, the group only had one or two like this.

“It felt like a ‘God thing’ –  a perfect reminder of the hope and comfort you helped bring,” she said. “Thank you for your continued support as a community sponsor for our Winter PJ Drive. Your generosity helps Pajama Rama bring comfort and hope to many children during this holiday season. We couldn’t do this without you.”
