
Three North Texas food pantries received a combined 34,000-pound donation of shelf-stable food and hygiene kits last week from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, providing support amid rising needs following the government shutdown and a devastating fire at one of the area’s largest nonprofit food providers.
The donation, delivered to Lewisville’s Christian Community Action, was distributed among CCA, The Salvation Army of Lewisville and Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors in Celina.
