Global Youth Service Day – 300+ East Texas Youth Serve at the East Texas Food Bank

Kids from across East Texas came together for Global Youth Service Day in Tyler.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the East Texas Food Bank worked to organize the event to celebrate the nationwide effort of getting youth involved in community service.

What we accomplished:

👥Volunteers: 310+

📦Senior Boxes: 336 cases

🫘Rice/Bean Repack: 56 boxes of Rice = 1,344bags = 1,334lbs.

☑️ Final sorting of mixed boxes: 48 boxes

🎒School Backpack meals: 840 bags
