The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been building temples since the 1830s. Temples are considered houses of God, places of holiness and peace separate from the world’s preoccupations. They provide a place where Church members can make formal promises and commitments to God to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and live righteous lives. God promises to bless and strengthen those who stay true to these sacred promises. Learn more about the temples located in North Texas below.

Byron Nelson High School, located in the city of Trophy Club, is organizing the first JustServe club!
Decked out in red, white and blue, club members promoted the volunteer platform JustServe.org in the city's 'Parade of Patriots' this 4th of July.
When asked about the expectations for the club this year, Addison Mason (class of 2025 and club officer) said:
“I think the name of the club speaks for itself. If you read the banner it says, ‘uniting communities through service’.
“Service is one of the easiest ways to not only grow yourself, but to serve the Lord. I think it doesn’t matter what walk of life you come from, but at the end of the day, it’s the community. That’s what it’s all about.” ... See MoreSee Less

Carrollton members came together on Juneteenth to help clean up and preserve The Carrollton Black Cemetery. We are grateful for this opportunity to come together and support our community.
“Working together to restore this sacred ground, we honor the lives of those who came before us. Serving side by side as brothers and sisters, regardless of our backgrounds or affiliations is true Godly love.”
